We felt impotent and morally rebuffed to cancel SummerScreen last night, but it was just a freak rain shower in Beverly Hills! We will be showing Clueless again on August 24, but we’ll see you next week for JURASSIC PARK!
We felt impotent and morally rebuffed to cancel SummerScreen last night, but it was just a freak rain shower in Beverly Hills! We will be showing Clueless again on August 24, but we’ll see you next week for JURASSIC PARK!
Here’s a video of everyone having fun at the last three SummerScreens. Tonight, it could be you. Doors at 6, Bands at 7, Movie at sundown. Happy summer.

Last night, a very young Matthew Broderick danced in the Chicago Day Parade, and 4000 Brooklynites danced along with him, reminding us all that life moves pretty fast, and if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you just might miss it. Check out photos on our facebook, and also a few good ones over at the Epix website.
We’ll see you next week for Clueless, in which we’ll be giving away more prizes and listening to a lot of Mighty Mighty Bosstones. See you then!

In honor of the luxury cars that Cameron and Ferris so love, Fiat will be at this week’s SummerScreen with two of their awesome, Italian machines for all of us to marvel at. We’re pretty excited and plan on picking up a lot of lucky high schoolers in those babies.
Men, women, and all of their GoldenDoodles, Pomeritzus, and Southern French bulldogs gathered in McCarren Park this past Wednesday to eat gourmet pizzas, drink cold beers, and watch Steve Buscemi KILL IT in Ghost World. At one point Thora Birch said something poignant to the winds of McCarren Park and everyone in the crowd said the words “that was me in high school,” roughly at the same time and somewhere, Scarlett Johansson rolled over in her Iron Man 3 trailer. Check out photos from this event on facebook, and don’t forget to come next week when we show Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. There will still be prizes given away and ice cream sandwiches to be noshed, but be sure to get there at 7 to see Twin Sister perform. Oh yeah, and it’s still free. See you then!
Would Ghost World be the movie it is without the Wowsville Diner? Of course not you idiot! Keep reading that graphic novel!
Film Biz Recycling (a non-profit organization that rescues film props
that may have otherwise ended up in a landfill) will be raffling off a Ghost World worthy package of dinner items and old school diner ware which were really, truly on the set of an actual film. So you can make hangover pancakes in your own diner – or apartment.
When you come to McCarren Park tomorrow, give your name and email address to an L Mag staffer in a sea foam green tee shirt. Good luck!
